Terms and Conditions for Image Upload

You affirm that you are the owner of the images uploaded or possess the necessary rights and permissions to use and reproduce them. This includes ensuring you have consent from any individuals appearing in the photographs and that the images do not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

You acknowledge that uploaded images are retained for a period of 7 days from the date of submission for order processing and printing purposes. During this time, your images are stored securely on our servers and are only accessible to authorized personnel involved in creating your 3D lithophane.

This retention period allows us sufficient time to process your order, create your lithophane, and handle any potential quality issues or customer service inquiries.

We prioritize the privacy and security of your images. Your data is handled in accordance with relevant data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your uploaded images from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

Your images are encrypted during transmission and storage, and access is restricted to essential personnel only. We do not share, sell, or distribute your images to any third parties without your explicit consent.

After the 7-day retention period, your uploaded images are permanently deleted from our servers. We do not retain any copies, ensuring your privacy. This deletion is irreversible and includes all backup copies and temporary files.

If you need to reorder the same lithophane after the retention period, you will need to upload your image again through our ordering system.

You agree not to upload any images that violate our content guidelines, including but not limited to:

• • Offensive, inappropriate, or explicit content
• • Illegal or unlawful material
• • Copyrighted material that you do not own or have permission to use
• • Images containing hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• • Content that violates any person's privacy or publicity rights
• • Images that promote violence, illegal activities, or harmful behavior
• • Any content that could be considered defamatory or libelous

You confirm that the information provided along with the image upload is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You agree that you will not engage in any fraudulent activity and that all details provided for billing, shipping, and contact purposes are truthful and verifiable.

While we strive to create the highest quality 3D lithophanes, the final product quality depends significantly on the resolution, clarity, and composition of your uploaded image. We recommend uploading high-resolution images (minimum 800x600 pixels) for optimal results.

We reserve the right to contact you if your uploaded image is not suitable for lithophane production and may request an alternative image or offer guidance on image optimization.

Memento 3D is not liable for any loss or damage that may or may not be incurred as a result of uploaded images during the retention period. You upload images at your own risk. By proceeding with the image upload, you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Our liability is limited to the replacement or refund of your order value in cases where we are unable to fulfill your order due to technical issues on our end.

Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement for a full refund. After this period, cancellations may not be possible as production may have already commenced. Custom lithophanes are made-to-order and cannot be resold, so cancellations after production begins are generally not eligible for refunds.

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery for a replacement or refund.

Memento 3D reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
